[OM-291] As one of the premiere vacation / entertainment / leisure destinations on the planet, Dubai is home to an ever growing DJ culture / club scene. In the past 3 years, Dubai has become a tour highlight for top international DJ’s including many from the Om Records roster. Om has held multiple showcases in the city, with plans to launch the Om: Dubai residency at Chi! Unlike other territory compilations, Om: Dubai actually teams up an Om artist who has toured through Dubai along with that territory’s premiere DJ fully representing Dubai.

Andy Caldwell: For over the past 10 years, Andy Caldwell has shared his love of music with fans around the world, performing as a DJ/musician in every major city on every continent. Collaborating with DJ/producers such as co-writing/producing Kaskade’s No.1 Billboard hit single “Everything”, Caldwell’s signature production style is also recognized in the film and television industries. He has composed music for films such as Forces of Nature and Skulls, as well as popular television series- Six Feet Under, Boston Public, and Chromium Blue.

Charl Chaka: It would be an understatement to say Charl Chaka wears the proverbial crown in Dubai, when it comes to the deep/funk/jackin’ side of house. He has been credited as the 1st DJ to play the infamous San Francisco house sound in Dubai, and is renowned for championing the style in the desert heat. Opening sets for legends such as DJ Sneak, Marshall Jefferson, Mark Farina and Derrick Carter, to name but a few, and using his versatile style to open for Questlove and Jamiroquai, if ever there is a deep house jock of their stature in Dubai, Chaka’s the man called upon for the job.
