Description

"Had Sade kept up with the innovations of DJ culture during her eight–year hiatus, her new material would probably have sounded something like Soulstice" CMJ April 30, 2001. This fall, Om Records opens their secret vaults to release their most prized collection, the Soulstice remixes. "Illusion," the debut album from Soulstice released in April 2001 gained national attention with the Sounds of Om Tour (selling out over 20 dates with co–headliner Mark Farina) and being the most requested album on Los Angeles´ KCRW (heavily supported by Jason Bentley and Garth Trinidad). The 12" mixes of "Tenderly", "Lovely", "Fall" and "Illusion" have received acclaim from such international producers and DJ´s as Richard Dorfmeister, Rainer Truby, Garth, Mark Farina, Q Burns Abstract Message and King Kooba. Consisting of aural innovators Andy Caldwell and Gabriel Rene on keyboards, deck master Mei–Lwun Yee on turntables and songbird Gina Rene on vocals, Soulstice have released a string of sought after house, down–tempo, and drum & bass classics. In October, Om Records is proud to present "Mixed Illusions", the essential Soulstice remix collection.
