Tim Ripley is an artist who creates paintings, posters, and sculpture. His artwork is characterized by clean detailed compositions and surreal narratives. His paintings are hyper realistic oil renderings of mysterious, sexy, and ominous abstract clay forms. After a recent introduction to screen printing processes, he has managed to create body of poster art which is extremely accomplished yet deliberately understated. Tim has exhibited work in galleries and museums across the country. He teaches painting and drawing at Columbia College Chicago, where he currently lives.
