LA has it first…no! Bay Area stand up and get your act together. Oaksterdam, i’m talking to you. Yes, it’s true, the world first weed atm offered in two locations in LA supplying medication to those in need. You can pick from several different grades and kinds including, OG Kush and Granddady. Limited to a single buy of 3.5 grams a day and up to an ounce a week, the 24 hour security guarded atm machine will always be there for that quick fix. Now all we need is one of these installed side by side and we’ll be set.
Everyone’s favorite rapper (ahem) got nailed by the jacks today in Arizona where his bus got pulled over off the freeway. Packing a .40 caliber pistol, 105 grams of white widow (3.75 oz’s), a little more than a ounce of the puro, 41 grams of exctasy (Wayne, you rocking Molly?) and various drug paraphernalia, Wayne and two hommies were clincked up. Sounds like a party to me, Wayne holler if you need a driver! For more info click here.

My man, my mellow, Six Foot Eight Charlie Tate turns one year younger today. For those of you who don’t know him, one half of King Kooba, one huge Colossus, Charlie Tate has been known to hold down the bass guitar playing with the Big Cheese Allstars, ever so smoothly work the chisel shaping custom furniture for my living room and has been known to make about a 100 beats a day coining the phrase ‘beats department.’ Seriously, i send this dude an accapella in the morning and by 1pm, he’s in my office with a cd of 3 remixes all different styles. More impressive is his catalogue of releases, under two aliases check the King Kooba joints and the Colossus jawns as he began stalking the studio in 1995. From broken beat to hip hop and some straight up soul; the dude produces like a chameleon. So it’s today that we honor Charlie’s born day, representing Londontown and West Oakland alike, you deserve to CRUSH that hamburger, son!

For the first time in Hip-Hop history, a college fraternity is dedicating itself to the four elements of Hip-Hop, and in the process they are becoming the first Hip-Hop fraternity in existence. Eta Iota Rho, also known as HIP, was founded by Quinnton Parker, Justin Wolverton, and Keane Rowley, three young break-dancers who weren’t quite excited about the current state of Hip-Hop. “We’re not here with false intentions, this isn’t a publicity stunt,” Quinnton Parker, one of the founders of Eta Iota Rho told AllHipHop.com. “All the people involved generally want a change in the Hip-Hop community. They don’t want this negative image that comes from the media. They just want everybody to know what Hip-Hop is about.”
