It has been an amazing Summer and we at Om Records are proud to present ‘Kaboom’, a single from the new artist on Om’s roster, Louis La Roche . Louis La Roche (Brett Ewels) is a DJ, remixer and producer from Norwich, UK. His work appeared on several compilations from Ministry Of Sound, Modular, Defected, Neon and Annie Mac Presents, and Channel 4’s Skins. Furthermore, Louis has shared the stage with Armand Van Helden, A-Trak, 2ManyDJs and many more. At 22 years old, he is perhaps the next great hero for the British dance music scene.
Louis La Roche delivers Kaboom, a tune that will make everyone bounce with power chords, wow-wow filter sweeps, and classic chi-town-style vocals – all of which come together to create that signature old- school house sound. The second track, ’Funk Trunk Skunk’ is a funky jam with a bouncy Latin-esque beat that still holds true to La Roche’s fun vibes with warm synths. The perfect blend of raspy vocals and blaring horns would liven up any dance floor.
Smoke N Mirrors is pleased to release Wildkats’ single,‘Rock D’ Disco’. This three track EP brings a deep, pumping sound with disco toned synths meshed with a satisfyingly forthright bass.
WiLDKATS are a production collective formed in East London when Edinburgh DJs Stuart Sandeman & Scott Dickie met US import Corey Baker. After sharing ideas over a booming warehouse bass bin they decided to get into the studio. Pulling influences from 80s Funk and New York Disco they began to develop their sound; an energetic combination of groove led house and dubby disco with their trademark WiLDKATS bass-line. WiLDKATS are part of a new movement in contemporary house music fusing 80s drums, synths and bass sounds, putting their own funked up stamp on this with their catchy edits and raw dance floor killers.
Big news, Mark Farina’s seventh volume of his legendary Mushroom Jazz compilation series is finally available for the first time on 180 gram audiophile quality vinyl! For consummate fan (and the newly initiated), this limited edition double vinyl pack featuring thirteen tracks including many from Om label mates such as King Kooba ‘Bad Back’, Joshua Heath ‘More’, Colossus ‘Introduce/SLAP Mix’ and Uneaq ‘Just Move’.

Lavish Habits presents ‘Well Absolutely’, the new single from Body Language’s forthcoming sophomore album release ‘Grammar’. The original album version is a get down disco groove complete with boogie bass line and sparkling vocal hook from Angelica Bess. On remix (or in this case demix) duties, first up is ambitious young producer Martin Dubka whose sugary feel good pop rendition zings like a bottle of cream soda on a hot summer day. Rounding out the package, Attar! delivers a deep space house mix that’s destined for discerning dance floors. Look for Body Language on tour this Fall and the new ‘Grammar’ album out in stores this September.
