In celebration of the release of Miguel Migs “Outside the Skyline”" we decided to premier the Woolfy Remix off the upcoming single, Close Your Eyes featuring Meshell Ndegeocello with our good friends at Urb. Woolfy’s gives the original a complete make over, literally taking you to the outback!
The second single from J Boogie’s upcoming full-length Undercover manifests in true form to its title – Go to Work. The break drops with the weight of a b-boy classic, riding a hook that sounds ready for a blacksploitation chase scene. With incredible momentum and restrained funk, J Boogie’s fusion of hip hop, funk, dub and the clatter of latin percussion joining it all, Go to Work leaves no room for quiet observers and head-nodders on the dancefloor; this one is all body language. Be sure to check out Hot Toddy on the remix!
If Everybody Pt. 1 wasn’t enough, we’re happy to bring you Pt. 2 featuring new remixes from Miguel Migs, Vernon and DeCosta, Ghosts of Venice, Kid Who and new versions from Aki Bergen and Hardsoul. Grab you free download of the Kid Who Remix at the bottom of this post.
Featuring disco legend Evelyn ‘Champagne’ King, ‘Everybody’ evokes a soul-disco appeal with classic and current production values. Evelyn’s beautiful vocal talents soar over a blistering bass-line while textural synth stabs, funky guitar licks and warm melodies create the atmosphere.
Migs delivers his Disco-Tech Dub, stripping down the Original Album Version cutting up the vocals and exploring the territories of deep-soul-disco and tech.
Vernon & Dacosta take things into a moody-tech direction with deep hypnotic pads, steady synth stabs and a driving groove.
Ghost of Venice strips it down and presents a big room tracky-disco-loop dub.
Aki Bergen provides his quintessential deep house Vocal version layering Evelyn’s vocal with obscured effects for a darker moody feel.
Hardsoul’s dub pushes the envelope into the realm of upbeat, peak time dance floor biz.
While Kid Who shakes things up and gives us a pulsating edge to his well crafted thumping electronic dub.
Everybody PART 1 received such a diverse amount of positive feedback by all types of artists and we thank you for your continued support and open mindedness!
