It’s been a big week for Om on <a href= target=_blank>

Colette’s track “Think You Want It” was the most popular track on this week. Right below her Child’s Play / Om’s very own Amp Live with his remix of Why?.

On top of all this our good friends at just wrote about the Om 15 Year album and featured a free download from URB’s Next 100 Star, Pezzner.

J-Boogie Sugarhill Remix

Man, time flies by as it’s Thursday again and time to leak another bootleg remix. This time our good friend Mikey Tello remixed J-Boogie’s Dubtronic Science disco rap track ‘Inferno’ featuring Lunar Heights, putting a nice 1978 twist on it. From Chic to Sugarhill Gang, this track is all about Good Times. Stream it and download it below.

In other news, UK soul singer Alice Russell has leant out parts to some of her songs off of her latest project ‘Pot of Gold’ for a remix contest. Our man J-Boogie just completed his submission and uploaded it here, along with several other submissions including one from Mr. Scruff. Unfortunately, you have to create a user name and password to log in and vote (click on which remix to find the right page), but if you have the free time it’s definitely worth it, especially to hear the diversity of each producers interpretation.

Somewhere in the intergalactic universe, lives a robot named Gary. He’s kind of a big deal and has been called an spaceland playboy. His spaceship is painted with Gold and his wardrobe is out of this world. Everyone always wants to hang out with Gary because makes people feel larger than life.

‘Gary is a Robot’ is the newest single from Amp Live feat. Micro Jaxson and Trackademicks. The electro hop banger is already turning heads of tastemakers worldwide, getting spins at a club near you. Trackademicks sets the tone, fresh off his release of ‘Enjoy What You Do’ on Fool’s Gold, as brings out the true bay area flow. On the B side, ‘Get Served’ features hip hop legend Mykah Nyne of Freestyle Fellowship over a dub step esq beat orchestrated by Amp Live. Make sure to stream both tracks below and go cop the release from Turntable Lab here. Visit Amp’s artist page to cop remixes of Radiohead, MGMT, Of Montreal, Tapes ’N Tapes and more.

My mellow, my man King Most has been holding down the intergalactic dj scene like white on rice. A northern cali native, King Most aka Patrick has been steady in the lab working on his solo debut featuring a whole list of amazing artists, none of which i can reveal at this point, but trust it will be fire. Don’t sleep on his remix work either, he’s recently dropped remix gems on artists such as the Illa J, Masta Ace, De La Soul, Common as well as blessing us with this latin mash up of J-Boogie’s Dubtronic Science feat. Raashan Ahmad ‘Alive.’ The remix is heat and if you click the banner you’ll get a nice little zip containing the vocal and instrumental. Peep it, play it, rock it and give us some feedback. Sincerely,

Your friends at Om Records.
