Known for his hit remixes for artist like Little Boots, Estelle, Kid Sister, Empire of The Sun, and many more, Treasure Fingers has won the hearts of both hipster and house bloggers alike. We don’t really wear skinny jeans, but we’d gladly throw on a pear while listening to this remix.
They were the second most played track on tastemaker radio station KCRWonly after Radiohead. Their relentless tour schedule had them circling the US gradually playing larger and larger venues as more cities and dates were added. They topped everyone’s favorite list for bands you probably don’t know about. They eventually caught the attention of DJ Shadow and TV On The Radio, who later asked them to open for them on the US tour. All of this without US distribution of their record.
Little Dragon’s new album “Machine Dreams” is a pop / electronic masterpiece! The tracks that have already leaked are a nice preview for what’s to come. This Swedish quartet has become one of my favorite groups. Pick it up on iTunes.
Greenskeepers’s main man, James Curd has been releasing solo music for years under his label, Greenskeepers Music label and here at Om. Last year, they licensed “Vagabond” to the commercial use for “Grand Theft Auto IV”. With a new legion of fans and a ton of new material coming out, James along with new Greenskeepers member, JDub have taken some time to produce a single for everyone’s favorite disco, electronic, rock label, DFA Records.
The single has quickly become his top downloaded single. Check for James Curd’s new single, “The Wills and the Wonts” on Om’s Child’s Play Records.

Here we are again….we can’t help but say “we told you so”.
The ultimate “we told you so” moment has just occured… We’ve been telling you how talented our beloved Mike Monday is! Now Mike Mondayand his friend Will Saul have remixed one of the best electronic albums this year. Juan MacLean’s (half of LCD Soundsystem) have just released their big single, “Happy House”. Amongst the big name producers on remix duty, Chateau Flight, Matthew Dear vs. his alias Audion, VHS or Beta, Paul Woodford, and Om’s very own Mike Monday.
For those of you that still wear your pants loose and listen to the funky stuff no matter if it’s ironic or too hip to be square, you probably know and love the little publication that could…AKAFRANK 151. The topic of the day is their fly little new issue dedicated to De La Soul. Why might they do this? Do De La have a new hit on the charts? Is De La dead again? No, from what I can gather, the dudes are just chilling and living well, and have an amazing story to tell. Inside the mag, you’ll see the original sample clearance form for Plug Tunin’, a dual interview between Maseo and George Clinton, a glossary of all the classic De La speak and find out Jerobi is a chef in Atlanta. Huh? Tons of awesome stuff in here. Pick up a copy if your able and if not, check out www.frank151.com to subscribe.

Roy Davis Jr. is a Chicago legend. He has released music that cross all genres, house, soul, hip hop, and more. Many of you may remember his underground hit released on Ubiquity featuring then Billboard chart vocalist, Terry Dexter or even the timeless “Gabriel”. Roy Davis is back with a new album that any soul or house fan would appreciate. Featuring vocalist Terry Dexter, Erin Martin, Manny S, XL, Heat Fam, Manny, Khalid, and more.
The first single called “I Have A Vision” is hot…so hot Scion decided to use it in their A/V Remix Project. The first single featuring remixes from Fred Falke, Todd Edwards, and my personal favorite, Juan MacLean.
