Returning from the critically acclaimed ‘Boracay Planet’, San Francisco’s Blackbird Blackbird takes his dreamy electronic pop to even greater heights with his forthcoming album ‘Tangerine Sky’ out this May on Om Records.
The lead single, ‘There Is Nowhere’ (Coming Feb 25th, 2014), is melancholic deconstructed soul that’s as heart wrenching as it is beautiful. Slowed down heavy drums dance with synths and Blackbird Blackbird’s crooning falsetto. This is beautiful, majestic and elegant music for a more civilized age. Make sure to check out the video on YouTube on February 17th.
The b-side is a drum heavy ambient tune called ‘Hold On’. Twinkling percussion and angelic vocals float over driving beats culminating in a whirlwind of electronic bliss. An exclusive unreleased track, ‘Hold On’ is already a fan favorite at Blackbird Blackbird shows.
Starting February 18th, catch Blackbird Blackbird on a 30 date European Tour that brings him to England, Norway, Spain, France, Czech Republic, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Italy and Russia.
Fresh off the success of last year’s Social Studies LP, Body Language have returned with a new album, Grammar. This release follows the critically acclaimed debut, “Social Studies”, which earned the approval of everyone from NPR to The New York Times to The Guardian. Like Social Studies, this sophomore release embodies the band’s restless pop experiments with a future-shocked blend of soul and R&B. Or as multi-instrumentalist/ producer Grant Wheeler puts it, “Our world still exists in an indie-disco bubble; we’re just pushing the limits of every genre to point where the bubble’s about to pop”.
You can celebrate this release with the limited edition double disc deluxe package. It contains not only the full album, but also the instrumentals of this beautiful release on two discs along with a poster. Reserve your copy now while supplies last!

Lavish Habits presents ‘Well Absolutely’, the new single from Body Language’s forthcoming sophomore album release ‘Grammar’. The original album version is a get down disco groove complete with boogie bass line and sparkling vocal hook from Angelica Bess. On remix (or in this case demix) duties, first up is ambitious young producer Martin Dubka whose sugary feel good pop rendition zings like a bottle of cream soda on a hot summer day. Rounding out the package, Attar! delivers a deep space house mix that’s destined for discerning dance floors. Look for Body Language on tour this Fall and the new ‘Grammar’ album out in stores this September.
