Call him what you want, Rob Grega is a man of many names. He has gone by monikers, Gaggaz, Still Rob G, Cool Rob G, Go Rob Go, Rob Da Beard, HearDis, and now there is P.E. (Physical Education), a collaboration with Rob and Casey Nefcy. Not quite sure what differentiates P.E. from his other personalities, but it’s great addition to his array of many great personalities. Here is a P.E. disco / boogie edit of the late and great soul singer, Teddy Pendergrass.

We have had ex-omies go on to work at iTunes, Triple 5 Soul, and some have even become huge DJ superstars (see Kaskade). Most recently, Om Hip Hop intern, Geoff was featured on a track on Mark Farina’s Mushroom Jazz Vol. 6 called “The What?” produced by Colossus. Already one album deep, G-OFF along with friends Haze, Mikos, and The Whooligan have a hip hop group by the name of 40Love and they just dropped this free download.

From 40Love
“Our album is near complete. Last night we realized we needed to share 40Love’s new sound and vision with our people. This song was written, produced, mixed and arranged within the last 24 hours. Our new project, “Dreams Don’t Sleep” will be releasing mid 2010. Peace, love and blessings to you and much success and happiness to everyone in the new year. -40Love"

Our girl Colette has had some interesting remix as of recent. One remix that didn’t make it onto her recent “Think You Want It” single is from local San Franciscan, Kool Karlo. Karlo and our boy Clayton do an anything goes Tuesday night called “Damn Gina! @ The Ambassador”. Check out a recent interview with SFWeekly here.

Zwicker is an artist Rob G. turned me onto. ZWICKER a.k.a. Cyril Boehler is a producer, composer and DJ from Zurich. After a handful of successful ZWICKER vinyl releases on the BearFunk, Compost Black Label and Get Physical labels Zwicker released a full-length album of pop / electronica tracks.

The album "Songs of Lucid Dreamers“ was released earlier this year on Compost and features collaborations with Matt Didemus (Junior Boys), and vocalist Heidi Happy (for real!), Olivera Stanimirov, and more. The songs have great catchy melodies.

Below is an unreleased Zwicker remix of Sonar Kollektiv artist Lexx
