THE ONE / OBAMA TRIBUTE

Voting is so important and this is a pivotal time in our country. Whether you vote for Obama or McCain make sure you vote informed. But the main thing…get your funky ass out there and vote.

In these last days leading up to the election, I wanted to offer a special contribution to Obama’s cause. As I would watch the election coverage, I kept chanting ‘O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma,’ realizing it reminded me of George Kranz’s ‘Din-Daa-Daa’ from the movie Breaking 2, Electric Boogaloo. The idea popped in my head to produce a special ONE rendition to help get the word out that this is one of the most important elections in America’s history. So many people are always complaining about how things could be better in this country but have never voted. This song is dedicated to act of voting; as an American it is one of our most important natural rights. Get to the polls and let your voice be heard!

Lyrics

People Want Change, People Want Change

Have the nerve to complain, but don’t do a thang

You are the WE is yes we can, you have the power to change the world

You can complain but it still wont change

You need to let your voice be heard

O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma

People Want Change, People Want Change

Then how can it change if you don’t make the change

Now is the time to make the stand

You have the power to move the world

You can complain but it still won’t change

You need to let your voice be heard

O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma

While I normally don’t get caught up in the “internet hype” of “internet celebrity” …I’m completely fascinated by Happy Slip aka Christine Gambito. She’s funny, witty and might I add fine…plus she like’s my music ..thats always a plus(check episode 35. “BAND AID” for her dancing to Beautiful Wonderful). If your available to do “video” Christine wink holla at a playa ..The ONE

Well besides going thru Happy Slip’s V-logs, I’ve been busy making fabulous meals and beautiful music. Women, wine and song. You can substitute the wine for good food…I love the artistic side of food, the harmony of the flavors the orchestra of tastes…And of course music in the background is the perfect companion.

All that said… look for a new Iron chef instrumental series soon….this one will be for the lovers.

Instead of writing a long musing about love life and lust.( which the blog will be about most of the time) I wanted to give you little treat-actually a whole lot of treats. The coproducer of my album “Superpsychosexy”, the good twin, Geoffrey aka Jah Freedom, has an “instrumental” album for the free. It isnt completely instrumental tho-LOL. So download listen and enjoy…

AMUSES-BOUCHES

Amuses-bouche, also called amuses-gueule, are tiny bite-sized morsels served before the hors d’uvre or first course of a meal. These, often accompanied by a proper complementing wine, are served as an excitement of taste buds to both prepare the guest for the meal and to offer a glimpse into the chef’s approach to cooking.

The word is French, literally translated to “mouth amuser” [for bouche = mouth; amuser = to amuse, to please]. The proper plural form is amuses-bouche. The original French word, more frequently employed, is amuse-gueule (gueule is slang for mouth but in fact means animal’s mouth (one word in French)), although amuse-bouche is considered more polite and is usually used on menus in more refined restaurants.

The amuse-bouche as an identifiable course arose during the Nouvelle Cuisine movement, which emphasized smaller, more intensely flavored courses.1 It is distinguished from other kinds of hors d’uvres by three characteristics. It is small, usually just one or two bites. It is the same for all of the guests at the table. And finally, it is not ordered by anyone; rather it is offered free of charge. The functional role of the amuse-bouche could be met by rather simple offerings—a plate of olives or a crock of tapenade. But the course often becomes a showcase for the artistry and showmanship of the chef as well as oneupmanship among restaurants

These are some audio experiments that I’d like to share…If youre looking for boom bap beats …you may not really find a lot of that on this particular outing (But there will be on the Iron chef beat cd “BEEF” coming soon)….these are some new and old tracks that I listen to or there was a weird story behind them or rappers thought the beats were too strange or beats that I just find amusing to me personally. Feel free to download, send to your friends, rap over them, bump in your whip etc. Thanks for listening.
