Voting is so important and this is a pivotal time in our country. Whether you vote for Obama or McCain make sure you vote informed. But the main thing…get your funky ass out there and vote.
In these last days leading up to the election, I wanted to offer a special contribution to Obama’s cause. As I would watch the election coverage, I kept chanting ‘O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma,’ realizing it reminded me of George Kranz’s ‘Din-Daa-Daa’ from the movie Breaking 2, Electric Boogaloo. The idea popped in my head to produce a special ONE rendition to help get the word out that this is one of the most important elections in America’s history. So many people are always complaining about how things could be better in this country but have never voted. This song is dedicated to act of voting; as an American it is one of our most important natural rights. Get to the polls and let your voice be heard!
Lyrics
People Want Change, People Want Change
Have the nerve to complain, but don’t do a thang
You are the WE is yes we can, you have the power to change the world
You can complain but it still wont change
You need to let your voice be heard
O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma
People Want Change, People Want Change
Then how can it change if you don’t make the change
Now is the time to make the stand
You have the power to move the world
You can complain but it still won’t change
You need to let your voice be heard
O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma
