After much anticipation, the new Underworld album, “Barking,” has finally dropped and the reception has been phenomenal! After three years since their last studio album, the new album debuts on both Amazon AND iTunes at #1 on the electronic chart! Don’t miss the hype and buy the album here now.
Feel the hype!
“Underworld is freed up to focus on crafting memorable tunes that hark back to their electronica heyday, as well as more personal, coherent lyrics. Earnest emotions surprisingly suit these dance-floor surrealists. – SPIN
”Bird 1 was produced by the band with Dubfire, who helps create the starkly minimalist, addictive atmosphere”… “A darker, more sinister (but still highly danceable) 7-minute opening track”. – Stereogum
“And sure as “Gimme Shelter” was a requiem for all that ’60s hippy optimism, Underworld’s “Born Slippy” poignantly soundtracked rave’s hollow,gurned-up hangover. Curiously, where Underworld was once a dark foil to what was generally a culture of peace, love and hedonism, in these grim times, “Barking” is a relatively upper’s affair, and something of a techno’s-greatest-bits. – Filter
“Epic, small hours urgency of their Nineties heyday in the first single from their excellent Barking album ” – The Times
“Diamond Jigsaw” is so damned uplifting it should be played in rehab centers, and its peaks of Everest proportions pretty much ensures you’ll hear it on every mix by the DJ for the next few years. – Eat Sleep Drink Music/Bullzeye
“What I think will be cool about this album is that it will give Underworld some new exposure to a younger generation who are only now discovering the awesomeness of electronic music.” – Boom Boom Chik
“The epic festival trance of ‘Always Loved a Film’, with Hyde intoning ‘Heaven! Heaven!’ over pounding techno…will keep the dance tents rocking.” – Q Magazine
