Fabric 56th installment of their infamous mix series will be mixed by non-other than Chicago pioneer, Derrick Carter. Derrick will bring his unique blend of Chicago jack house to the mix.
“I produce all the time. I put a few specials on my fabric album from my private stock. I re-edit a lot of things. I have a different dancefloor vision. I like to think of it like sports tuners. They get a nice car and it works well enough but they tune it so that it fits their needs. Better performance, add some growl! It’s the same thing, I fix it up so it works for me, so when I play it, I get more power at lower revs, so to speak.”
Celebrating five years of his own Lazy Day’s label, Fred Everything recently recorded his second guest appearance for Ben Watt and Buzzin Fly’s Radio Show. You can download the mix now at Soundcloud below.

Ready to capture the International dance floor once again, “Electric Love” marks the return of legendary electronic act DIRTYVEGAS. “Electric Love” finds that elusive sweet spot between the slickly polished electronic sounds of their past and a more decidedly rock edge, deftly balancing beats and guitar-led melodies.
The single features exclusive remixes from the likes of DFA’s Runaway (my personal favorite), Kitsune’s Cassette Club, Eli Escobar, Alex Tepper, DJ Fame, and Dirty Vegas’ own Paul Harris.
The single is available at your favorite Digital Retailer everywhere. Click HERE to purchase.
Check out some of the tracks from the single below and let us know which ones are your favorites… enjoy!!!
In “Electric Love”— the video for U.K. electronic pop act DIRTY VEGAS’ new single which makes its premiere today, Tuesday, January 11 on NYLONMAG.COM—actress Jena Malone (The Soloist, Into The Wild, Donnie Darko) is seen as she has never been seen before. Written and produced by photographer James Gooding (www.jamesgooding.com) the “Electric Love” video serves as his directorial debut as well as the first visual element from DIRTY VEGAS’ new album—also titled ELECTRIC LOVE—due out April 26 on OM Records. It is also the first of two videos with Jena that will run concurrently over one larger narrative.
Says Jena Malone, “I became involved with the ‘Electric Love’ video through my good friend James Gooding who is an amazing photographer I had collaborated with on a few photo projects. He told me he was directing a music video for the first time and if I’d like to be a part of it; I pretty much said yes without even knowing what it was because I think he has such an amazing eye and I was excited to work with him as a director. I heard the song and thought it was fun and I basically flew to Alabama (where the video was shot) three weeks later.
“James wanted to know if I knew how to pole dance and I told him he was in luck; I just finished working on a film called Sucker Punch, due in the theaters this March and I had to learn a little pole dancing for that,” she adds. “But pole dancing in a dive bar in Alabama with a real audience of men was something I was NOT prepared for! Though I trusted James and I think it turned out really well. I love this video—and how it tells a story beyond the song, or brings the story of the song to a whole new level. It was weird being ‘the pretty girl’ in the music video though!!! That was definitely a first!”

San Francisco was the epicenter of the American rave scene and witnessed some legendary events that began in the early ‘90s. These all-night electronic-music dance parties attracted a diverse cross-section of people. Culturally iconic and socially important, the parties became a catalyst in the lives of so many of the people who experienced them.
By weaving together interviews shot at previous locations where these parties took place with archival footage, contemporary B-Roll and time-lapse photography, we are creating a deep and poetic film that examines the do-it-yourself mentality and psychedelic community spirit that the San Francisco Bay Area rave scene epitomized. We believe that the subject matter is as socially and culturally significant today as it was almost 20 years ago, making for a fascinating story that will resonate with a broad global audience.
The documentary features interviews from Jeno, DJ Dan, Sharon Buck, and many more.
