Calling DJs / remixers….Phoenix is celebrating their massive recent success of the album, Wolfgang Amadeus, and a sold out show at Hollywood Bowl by giving fans all the multi-tracks to their recent hit album. They’re basically inviting all you DJs and remixers to have free reign and make your own remixes. Not a bad gift at all from one of the biggest bands of the past two years!
Today, Greenskeepers released the second single from his forthcoming album ‘Live Like You Wanna Live’. The track, ‘I Am Trying’ features great remixes from fellow Chicago resident, Flosstradmus, DFA king pin, The Juan MacLean and a couple from James Curd himself.
Our friends over at RCRDLBL were feeling the Flosstradamus remix so much, they gave it today’s RCRD of the Day! Click here to check out the posting…
Our world lives in constant war. All these micro-wars, powered and supported by big governments around the world, might not be as publicized as the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, however they’re a constant source of suffering for millions of people. Next tuesday, September the 21st, we celebrate World Peace Day and from here at the Om Records offices, we challenge you to do something about it….Show to the rest of the world your nonconformity with all that Bureaucratic bullshit by spreading the word….

After much anticipation, the new Underworld album, “Barking,” has finally dropped and the reception has been phenomenal! After three years since their last studio album, the new album debuts on both Amazon AND iTunes at #1 on the electronic chart! Don’t miss the hype and buy the album here now.
Feel the hype!
“Underworld is freed up to focus on crafting memorable tunes that hark back to their electronica heyday, as well as more personal, coherent lyrics. Earnest emotions surprisingly suit these dance-floor surrealists. – SPIN
”Bird 1 was produced by the band with Dubfire, who helps create the starkly minimalist, addictive atmosphere”… “A darker, more sinister (but still highly danceable) 7-minute opening track”. – Stereogum
“And sure as “Gimme Shelter” was a requiem for all that ’60s hippy optimism, Underworld’s “Born Slippy” poignantly soundtracked rave’s hollow,gurned-up hangover. Curiously, where Underworld was once a dark foil to what was generally a culture of peace, love and hedonism, in these grim times, “Barking” is a relatively upper’s affair, and something of a techno’s-greatest-bits. – Filter
“Epic, small hours urgency of their Nineties heyday in the first single from their excellent Barking album ” – The Times
“Diamond Jigsaw” is so damned uplifting it should be played in rehab centers, and its peaks of Everest proportions pretty much ensures you’ll hear it on every mix by the DJ for the next few years. – Eat Sleep Drink Music/Bullzeye
“What I think will be cool about this album is that it will give Underworld some new exposure to a younger generation who are only now discovering the awesomeness of electronic music.” – Boom Boom Chik
“The epic festival trance of ‘Always Loved a Film’, with Hyde intoning ‘Heaven! Heaven!’ over pounding techno…will keep the dance tents rocking.” – Q Magazine

Underworld’s Karl Hyde talks with Music Weekly about their new album, “Barking,” which hits stores tomorrow. Hyde explains to Alexis how Underworld have stayed together through a combination of love and sheer bloody-mindedness. He’s also got a few kind words to say about the wonders of Essex.
