Today marks the first official entry of my weekly journal. I hope that this
will give you, all of my fans, a closer look into what my life is like on a
daily basis. I am feeling so many different streams of emotions. First,
being excited for the release of my album on the 25th of this month! I have
waited so long for this moment and to know that it’s actually here feels
pretty amazing. Aside from that, I’ve been pretty busy with all of the other
things that come along with being a singer in the music biz. This is all
pretty new to me so I’m just adjusting to my new busy schedule. I’m a
pretty mellow person and find it necessary to take a little time out every
day to just breath and relax, so you could say that I am now in the process
of transitioning into this new way of life. I’m learning to keep a busy
schedule but at the same time remembering the importance of taking a breath
here and there to maintain my sanity in this crazy biz. I have realized that
in order to take on a job like this, it is 100% crucial to take care of
yourself. Thanks all for listening and letting me share. I want to let you
all know that I am excited about sharing this process with you.
Much Love to all of you,

THURSDAY 20th SEPTEMBER
Om Records Launch Party @ Plastic People
(Om Records Resident )
Support: Tommy Four Seven (Brique Rouge)
Om touches down in London in September to launch their residency in the UK with a monthly event at Plastic People hosted by resident and the new European signing to the label, MIKEMONDAY.
Mike has been a stalwart of the dance scene from his early beginnings as part of Beat Foundation with Andy Cato to his artist album in 2006, Smorgasbord’ on Playtime, which was hailed as a classic’ by One Week to Live and awarded Album of the Month’ in I-DJ Magazine. At the forefront of the breaking music scene, Mike consistently pushes the boundaries of electronic music with innovative productions and is a welcome addition to the Om family as the exclusive monthly resident at Plastic People before dropping his second artist album in early 2008.
Om Records is a well respected label and I’ve loved their music for many years’, said Mike. Having got to know the guys from San Francisco, I am aware that they are excited about the new music coming out of Europe on a more dirty, techy vibe and I am keen to to work with them to help develop that. My residency at Om’s Plastic People event gives me an opportunity to play with the people who are exciting me and aren’t playing much in London…yet! Plus it also gives me a chance to road test all the new material I am currently writing for my new artist album on Om Records.’
Joining him behind the decks is young gun and man on the move, TOMMYFOURSEVEN. At the tender age of 20, Tommy has managed to lay waste to the competition with superb releases on Brique Rouge, Tom Neville’s Love Minus Zero and iO Music as well as pulling off storming sets across Europe. East London’s Plastic People is the perfect setting for the new Om Records Thursday party; it’s intimate environment and superb Funktion One soundsystem make it ideal for some dirty dancing to badass beats and provide a platform to showcase the sounds of Om Records.
Join Om Records on THURSDAY 20th SEPTEMBER for some ass wigglin and booty shakin to get the weekend started early…
