Today marks a special day here at Om. To celebrate 15 years of forward thinking music, we’ve brought back our fan favorite series, Om Lounge. ‘Lounge’ was started by Chris Smith back in 1998 as an exploration into the newest realms of melodic, mid tempo beats. The series was the first ever ORIGINAL downtempo / chill out series. ‘Lounge’ helped to create a fan base consisting of connoisseur for all things mellow, funky, and seductively down-tempo. Over the years, the series has featured music from Thievery Corporation, Ian Pooley, Kaskade, Mark Farina feat. Sean Hayes, The Rebirth, Soulstice, Fila Brazil, as well as introduce the world to Samantha James, Colette, Colossus, J-Boogie, and more. Fifteen years and eleven editions later, ‘Lounge’ has helped to solidify Om as one of the premiere labels for downtempo electronica.
