Prepare yourself for a summer anthem with this EP from San Jose’s live trio: Uneaq. Having previously released music on Green Gorilla Lounge and Nightshift, members Andrew Lozano and brother/sister duo Joshua & Jessica Marquez have taken inspiration from years of attending the Bay Area’s high–quality events. Utilizing their fantastic musicianship they have turned that inspiration into pure magic.
"Only U," which was originally featured as one of the stand–out tracks on last summer’s Om:Beached compilation, fuses organic percussion & instrumentation with a super–groovy bass–line, not to mention the catchy, uplifting vocal – all coming together to create a sure–fire summertime hit. On the flip, the one–and–only Johnny Fiasco turns out an absolutely devastating dance–floor dub. Johnny chooses chopped up bits of the vocal, adds his trademark drum programming and a distinctly–Fiasco sub–harmonic bass–line, along with plenty of synth/FX for added energy and tension. Quite simply, it’s the hotness. To close things out, Uneaq offers the perfect B–Side complement, in the form of "Pico de Gallo." Taking a bit more dubbed–out, loungy approach, it is ideal as an early–evening warm up track, and is dually useful as a peak–time groover for that sophisticated crowd.
