Om Records is pleased to present one of our newest up-and-coming artists: Miss Samantha James! The original of this tune appeared as the lead track on Om Lounge 10, and received an amazing reception. We knew we had something special on our hands, so we turned “Rise”; into a summer house anthem. Enlisting the talents of Eric Kupper, The Groove Junkies, and Ricardo DaCosta to create a little something for everyone! First up, is the Eric Kupper mix. Eric has been composing and remixing since the late 80 (that’s right, I said 80’s) on some of the biggest labels in modern music. His mix is perfect for the more commercial crowd, using Samantha’s beautiful vocals – simply incredible. Next up, the Groove Junkies take “Rise” on a slamming deep house funk excursion. On the B-Side we present South Africa’s Ricardo DaCosta and William Scott (Scotty). These guys get all dirty and funky with it… cutting up the vocals, and backing them with an epic, techy-electrohouse workout. Lastly, we have Samantha’s Producer, Sebastian Arocha Morton, who’s ROCAsound mix takes the elements of the original composition and reworks them for the house floor…A great radio track as well!
